The Butt House
The large two-story house features distinctive elements such as a hip roof, a front dormer, and a bay window.
John Payne Cabin
Built in 1861 in the Jones Creek area of Union County, the Civil-War Era log cabin was moved to the Union County Heritage Center property in 1995 and restored to its original floor plan.
Grapelle Butt Mock House
Now officially a part of the Union County Historical Society's Mountain Heritage Center, the house is often the setting for events and festivals.
Union County Courthouse
Built in 1899, the Romanesque Revival-style building features locally made brick, granite details, fanlight windows, and other special architect-designed components.
The Old Blairsville Jail
Built by the WPA in1935, the building still retains features of its original use.
The Blairsville Chevron Station
Opened in 1947 by Tom Candler, Jr. as a Standard Oil Service Station, the "Art Moderne" structure features a curved façade and glass blocks around the entrance.
Nottely River

Trackrock Gap
The geology of Track Rock Gap has spawned two rarities in Georgia: ancient, undeciphered petroglyphs, and the beautiful, threatened Fringed Gentian.

Meeks Park
one of the most beautiful parks in the North Georgia Mountains. It is located about one (1) mile west of Blairsville on Highway 515, and is open to the public.
Nottely Dam
Nottely Reservoir lies in the state of Georgia on the southeastern edge of the Tennessee River watershed, nestled in the mountains and valleys of the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds Host to several popular annual events including the Georgia Mountain Fair, the Georgia Mountain Bluegrass Festival, the Rhododendron Festival, the Hiawassee Festival of Arts, the Superstar Concert Series, the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival and Georgia’s Official State Fiddler’s Convention.
Vogel State Park
One of Georgia's oldest and most popular state parks, Vogel is located at the base of Blood Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Brasstown Bald
Rising 4,784 feet above sea level, Brasstown Bald Mountain is Georgia's highest mountain. On clear days, the spectacular 360-degree view from atop the mountain allows you to see four states.
Georgia Mountan Research and Education Center
The campus grounds cover 415 acres of orchards, test plots, pasture land, specimen and preservation gardens, historic building, beautiful rockwork, and forests.
Union County Courthouse Museum
The Mountain Life Museum is a block from the Old Courthouse. The Museum opened in 2006 after completing restoration of a 100-year-old residence that now houses displays and a gift shop. Two 1800's log cabins, barn, corn crib, and still have been relocated to the property.
Byron Herbert Reece Farm
The homestead of Byron Herbert Reece, a gifted poet and Pulitzer Prize-nominated novelist, is undergoing construction to become the Reece Historic Interpretive & Information Center. This landmark is located in Union County.
